Camping near Hauterives, just 5 minutes from the famous Palais idéal du facteur Cheval, the Grand Cerf is the ideal address for vacations with family, friends or couples, in a warm and friendly atmosphere. On a human scale – 2 hectares, 60 pitches – our campsite in the Drôme gives priority to quality of stay and closeness to our guests. Many of them return every year… and we understand!

Heated swimming pool at the Drôme campsite
Enjoy the beautiful days to the full! Our heated outdoor swimming pool near Hauterives is open from May 1ᵉʳ to September 19 (weather permitting), from 9:30 am to 8 pm. Ideal for relaxing, lazing on a deckchair in the Drôme sunshine, or swimming one lap after another in water at just the right temperature. The paddling pool is reserved for toddlers, who can enjoy the water in complete safety, while you relax and unwind.
For fans of gentle exercise,aquafitness sessions are available in season. Short swimming shorts accepted, hat not compulsory – just between us!
The good news? Access to the Swimming pool is included in your stay. And the best news? It will be completely renovated in 2026 to offer you even greater comfort.
Restaurant and bar La Table du Grand Cerf
Want to eat well without leaving the campsite? La Table du Grand Cerf is there for you! Former restaurateurs, our managers make it a point of honor to offer home-cooked meals, using local seasonal produce. On the menu: daily specials at lunchtime on weekdays, pizzas, salads, ravioli, burgers and our speciality – brasérade.
Our Grand-Serre restaurant can accommodate up to 40 people indoors and 80 on the terrace. Would you prefer to eat in your Mobile home or on your pitch? Pizzas are available to take away. In July and August, don’t miss our all-you-can-eat mussels and French fries evenings and concerts – booking recommended!
The bar is open from morning until evening for a coffee, a gourmet break (ice cream, waffles…), a cocktail or an aperitif with camping neighbors. An address open to outside customers, so don’t hesitate to spread the word!

At Le Grand Cerf, your vacation is as lively as you want it to be! To help you relax and have fun, we offer a rich program of activities and entertainment in the heart of the Drôme. For children aged 4 to 11, the free kids’ club offers weekly creative workshops, sports games, treasure hunts and activities around the mini-farm with its delightful animals – supervised by qualified activity leaders. A playground with bouncy castle and giant trampoline completes the package for the little ones. And for quiet moments, a library with board games is at your disposal.
When it comes to sports, the tennis courts, multisport soccer-basketball, petanque and badminton courts are waiting for you – with equipment loan included. Afternoons can be transformed into ping-pong or water polo tournaments. And in the evenings, there’s plenty of entertainment: karaoke, concerts, quiz nights… the atmosphere is guaranteed!
To make your stay even more enjoyable and simplify your camping vacation, our 4-star services are there to make your daily life easier: free wifi throughout the campsite, laundry service, bread and pastries depot, additional rentals (bed linen kits, baby kit, refrigerator…) and two new Sanitary facilities, one with PRM access and baby area. We’ve thought of everything so you don’t have to worry about a thing!

We welcome you to our 60-site campsite. Whether you prefer comfortable rental accommodation or the great outdoors under canvas, the Grand Cerf has the right accommodation for you. On our 2 green hectares, we offer 24 rentals and 31 pitches for tents, caravans and motorhomes. For rentals in the heart of the Drôme countryside, you have a choice of ..:
- Mobile homes (20 to 35 m²): sleep 2 to 6, all air-conditioned, with terrace – Comfort, Superior Comfort, Grand Comfort and Premium ranges
- Chalets (35 m²): 5 to 8 people, air-conditioned, dishwasher included, covered terrace – Premium range
- Canvas lodges (32 m² with terrace): up to 5 people, for an unusual experience in the heart of nature.
The pitches for rent near Hauterives (80 to 110 m²), bordered by natural hedges, are sunny or shady, with or without electricity. An emptying area is available for motorhomes.

Just 5 minutes from the campsite, the Palais idéal du facteur Cheval in Hauterives is one of France’s most astonishing works of architecture. Listed as a historic monument, this masterpiece built stone by stone by a country letter carrier is sure to amaze young and old alike!
The Drôme des collines and the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region are also full of treasures. Take advantage of a stay at our Le Grand Cerf campsite to visit the Drôme and discover some of the region’s most attractive tourist attractions with family or friends:

Our range of free and paying sightseeing tours is aimed at children, teenagers and adults. You can also take advantage of the many swimming lakes close to the campsite.
Local markets are also a must: the campsite market on Monday evenings (July-August), the Hauterives market on Tuesday mornings, and the Saint-Marcellin market on Saturday mornings.
